Our very 1st mystery reader...

We had a special surprise on Friday. Mrs. Bedal was our mystery reader. She read us the story titled Carrot Soup! It was loads of fun for Thiago to have this special visitor come to read to us!

Math with goldfish

The kids each got a handful of color blast goldfish. I told them they had to wait to eat them until we were completely finished with the math lesson.
1st they sorted the gold fish by colors.

Next, each student graphed the amount they had of each color.

Next, they counted and made tally marks to represent each gold fish.

Lastly, we got to eat the goldfish and enjoy the tasty snack!

Yay for Dillon and Kepa

Free Bananas for the little monkeys!

The nice people at Ono Farms gave a banana to each child on Friday to raise awareness for healthy snack choices! The kids looooooooved this delicious snack!

Making Rainbows with all the colors!

We created these rainbows as we practiced our cutting and gluing skills this week. You might think it's an easy skill but for 4-6 year olds scissors and glue are a little tricky to get the hang of. That's why in kindergarten we take the time to practice these fine motor skills and in the mean time have fun by making some really neat art! Scroll down and see the pictures of our rainbow making morning!
