WE HAD SO MUCH FUN.....
We got out the watercolors for the 1st time and learning how to use them. It was a smooth lesson on exploring each color and what will happen if you paint over lines made by crayons.
We read the story titled Tacky The Penguin. In the story, Tacky wore a fun, bright, and unique shirt that showed off his one-of-a-kind personality. The kiddos got to decorate a shirt to show off their personalities too. It was the first time we used markers in the classroom. These turned out great and they are hanging in the classroom. Don't worry, you can see them in person on open house night on September 9th.

Here we co-constructed criteria on how to sit nicely on the carpet and how to walk in a line. The students told me the answers and I wrote them on the chart paper. These not hang in our classroom to reference whenever we need reminders. |

During center time we have loads of fun. I have seen friendships begin to form and lessons on sharing and taking turns be learned. |
